What to Pack - Catskills Edition
The Catskill Mountains offer a lovely escape from the business of everyday life. Whether it’s your first time going to the Catskills, or your fifth - you can never be too prepared. Our annual Catskills retreat is held in early fall, when the leaves are changing — and so is the weather.
Typically, when I go to the Catskills I end up overpacking, rotating the same few comfortable outfits throughout the week. Cozy is key in the Catskills. We suggest packing layers to ensure you’re not too hot, or too cold. The weather in early October can get brisk as the foliage changes into stunning shades of yellow, orange and crimson red, but you also don’t want to be stuck overheating on a hike in a turtleneck — I know this from personal experience, hehe. Fall here calls for a staple sweater and trusty boot. Because we specialize in yoga and wellness retreats, we’ve added what to pack for a yogi weekend away in the Catskill Mountains.
